The Chinese smartphone brand Meizu has further expanded its portfolio with the launch of two new smartphones and that the devices are dubbed as Meizu 16X and Meizu X8. So, let’s check out the specification, pricing, and availability of both the newly unveiled devices.

The device sports 6 inch full HD+ AMOLED display along with 18:9 aspect ratio and has 2160 X 1080 pixels resolution, the device is power by 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor and paired with 6 GB of RAM along with Adreno 616 GPU for the graphical task. The device will be available in two storage variants – 64 and 128 GB

Moving to the camera department, the Meizu 16X has dual camera setup at back and that is in the combination of 12 megapixel (wide-angle lens, f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 6P lens) + 20 megapixel (telephoto lens, f/2.6 aperture, 5P lens) with Portrait Mode, PDAF, 3x lossless zoom, and 6-ring LED flash, along with 20 megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, Smart Background Blur and ArcSoft® Beauty Algorithm. The device also features some unique things like Full-Screen Gestures, and mEngine. Furthermore, the device also comes with in-display fingerprint scanner and AI Face Unlock to give the maximum layer of security to the users.

Regarding the connectivity, the Meizu 16X supports 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo 8.1 which is based on Flyme OS, and the device ships on 3,100 mAh battery to keep the lights on.

Speaking about the pricing and availability, the 64 GB storage variant is priced at ¥2098 (approx. ₹22,160), and the 128 GB storage variant is priced at ¥2398 (approx. ₹25,328). The device is available in China from September 26 and there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.

Moving to the Meizu X8, the device comes with 6.2 inch full HD+ notched display along with 19:9 aspect ratio and has 2280 X 1080 pixels resolution, the device is power by 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor and paired with 4/6 GB of RAM along with Adreno 616 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device will be available in two storage variants -4 GB and 6 GB RAM with 64 GB of internal storage and 6 GB RAM with 128 GB of onboard storage.

Coming to the photography department the device has a dual camera setup at back and that’s in the combination of 12 megapixel (6P lens) + 5 megapixel (4P lens) with f/1.9 aperture, Portrait Mode and LED flash, along with 20 megapixel front shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, Smart Background Blur and ArcSoft® Beauty Algorithm. The device also features some unique things like Full-Screen Gestures, and mEngine. Furthermore, the device also comes with the fingerprint scanner and AI Face Unlock to give the maximum layer of security to the users.
