Realme – one of the fastest-growing smartphone brand has launched its much-anticipated Realme 5 series and that includes two devices; Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. Both the smartphones are coming with Quad camera setup and many interesting features. It sports a 6.5 inch HD+ display with Dewdrop notch on the top of the display, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and it will available in three storage variants – 3/32GB, 4/64GB, 4/128GB.

The smartphone has quad camera setup and that is in the combination of a 12 MP primary camera sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, 2 MP portrait lens, and 2 MP macro lens. Along with Nightscape Mode, Chroma Boost, PDAF, 240fps slow-mo video recording, among others. On the front side, it has a 13 MP lens. The smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and a micro-USB port. The Realme 5 runs on ColorOS 6 which is based on Android 9 Pie. It also features the HyperBoost 2.0 for the enhancement in the performance of the smartphone. The smartphone is packed on a massive 5,000 mAh battery.

The Realme 5 Pro sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with dewdrop notch, and it is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE processor along with Adreno 616 GPU. The smartphone will available in three variants — 4 GB RAM with 64 GB of onboard storage, 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage.

It also features quad cameras and rocks an 8 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.25 aperture, a 48 MP Sony IMX586 primary camera sensor with f/1.79 aperture, a 2 MP portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP ultra maco lens with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has a 16 MP Sony IMX571 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It also comes with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also feature HyperBoost 2.0.

Connectivity wise, the smartphone will support the 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C port. It also features two Super Linear speakers with Dirac HD Sound for an immersive audio experience. The smartphone will boot on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie, and it will ship on a 4,035 mAh battery which also comes with support for 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

Pricing and availability

Starting with the Realme 5, the 3 GB RAM variant will have the price tag of ₹9,999 while the 4 GB RAM variant is priced at ₹10,999, and the 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant is priced at ₹11,999. It will go on sale from 27th August via Flipkart and the official website of the brand.

Coming to the Pro variant, the base variant i.e. 4 GB RAM variant costs ₹13,999 while the 6 GB RAM variant is priced at ₹14,999, and the high-end variant i.e. 8 GB RAM will be yours for ₹16,999. The device will go on sale in India from 4th September, exclusively via Flipkart as well as the official website and will later be available through offline stores as well.
