The Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has launched the Mi 9, the company has launched the flagship smartphone at an event in China. So, let’s have a look at the specification details of the smartphone along with the pricing and availability of the device.
It features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution along with 19:9 aspect ratio, and has a waterdrop-like notch on the top of the display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and paired with 6 GB/8 GB RAM along with Adreno 640 GPU, and 128 GB of internal storage.
Moving to the photography department, the first device rocks triple rear camera setup and that is in the combination of 48 megapixel Sony IMX586 + 12 megapixel Samsung S5K3M5 telephoto lens + 16 megapixel Sony IMX481 117-degree ultra-wide angle lens. At front, the all new Mi 9 offers 20 megapixel camera for the selfies and video calls. The device supports face unlock and in-display fingerprint scanner for the extra layer of security.
Regarding the connectivity options, the Mi 9 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, IR blaster, and a USB Type-C port. The device runs on the runs Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 atop, and ships on 3,300 mAh battery that supports 20W wireless charging alongside 27W wired fast charging support.
Pricing and availability
The 6 GB RAM variant is priced at 2999 yuan (approx. ₹31,700), and the 8 GB RAM variant has the price tag of 3299 yuan (approx. ₹34,900). The smartphone will be available from 26th February in China, and there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
