It's possible to prevent falls. The grab bar is compatible with most vehicles and can be inserted into a U-shaped door with no modifications required. The 1-pound car assist handle is lightweight and portable and can be stored in your glove box, door compartment, or purse. Provides independence. It's perfect for the elderly, injured, or anyone needing mobility assistance, because it's easy to maneuver in and out of cars without assistance, and it's also great for back pain. There are three bright colors to choose from, and the comfortable, non-slip grip handle is available in Blue, Lavender, and Red. The car assist bar is the perfect travel accessory because it is safe to support up to 300 pounds.
👤I have attained several of these for my patients who have issues with car transfers. Getting out of a car is difficult for most of my patients. The handle on the right side of the car door frame was provided by this item. The D-ring is used to keep the door closed. The rubber grip on the handle is solid and won't break like some of the hard plastic handles that are out there. The handle is comfortable. A solid little device that keeps my patients as independent as possible, is easily transferred from car to car, or sits in a woman's purse if needed, and can be found in the side door compartment. If your loved one pulls your shoulder out of the sockets that could lead to a rotator cuff tear, you still need the strength to push yourself up from a sit to stand, but is much safer than that.
👤If you have trouble getting in or out of the car, and want more handles, this thing is for you. This one can be put parallel to the body of the car, unlike most. We mostly use it parallel, so that's not a big deal. Pull up or push down and it will pop out. Sometimes that's hard for my mother to remember. It's 1000X easier to get in and out of the car with it, and she loves it. We think all of these types of car canes are the same. We have a few different ones, and they are all good, even if they are more expensive. The plate around the metal ring that the car door closes into is getting a little black, depending on the design of the plate, and I would guess some of these different types are more or less scratch resistant. Highly recommended.
👤It seems week made, priced well but doesn't fit in either direction in our Toyota's. I bought it because it was said it would fit in the car. It doesn't work parallel to the car. Will return if it works in the aide's car. We are still looking for our car.
👤The best invention since sliced bread is this device. My mother couldn't get in and out of the car. The Godsend works perfectly. She hopped out of the car like a jack in the box after using it for the first time. Thank you so much.
👤It works. It helps my husband get in and out of his car. Some days are good and some are not. The tool is a big help.
👤My mom needs this to get out of my Volvo which is lower to the ground than her car. It took her a while to remember that it was at the door, but once she used it a few times, she was all about using it. We keep it on the door. It is very sturdy and will not be worn out soon.
👤My mom had trouble getting in and out of the car because she broke her hip. We used this right after purchase and gave her stabilization to shimmy herself into the car. It works great, as it seems to be one piece of solid aluminum or alloy and not pieced together, it has a great grip on the handle, as it is designed like a bicycle handle. I saw more stable products.
Stand up with greater ease, thanks to the Stand Assist by Vive, which allows individuals to rise from chairs, sofas and recliners. The dual support handles create a stable foundation for pushing up to a standing position without twisting and turning, which reduces the risk of falls. Easy installation. The stand assist can be used with any seat that has a cushion, including plush sofas, recliners and chairs. A reconfiguration of the frame. The stand assist frame is made of aluminum and can support up to 300 pounds. The sleek black frame blends with most home decor for a discreet look. Stand assist handles provide a comfortable, yet secure grip for greater leverage and support, and are lightly padded with a soft foam. There is a vow guarantee. You can purchase now with a lifetime guarantee.
👤This is a small piece of steel. If you have a disability, injury, or just need a little help getting up sometimes, this device is a great option. The product design was terrific, and my father is an MIT engineering graduate. You can change the dimensions of height, width, and depth. You are able to adjust the fourth dimensions of time on your own. If you want to get the best results, place this item under any cushion, but in a pinch, you can also place it on top. If you can't get under the cushion, the device is still useful. I got another one after seeing how good it was. Highly recommended.
👤This was cheap to make. Sturdy materials should be used when making an item to support a person. It is easy to assemble, but not stable or sturdy. Assembly is not the reason we purchased this item. This product won't work if a person needs help rising from a sitting position. If I hadn't been there for support, the person I purchased this for would have fallen. The person is small to medium build and the bars were shaking as they started bending. It's made of cheap materials and won't support a person well. Don't waste your time and money. It's possible that a loved one will get hurt. Hopefully this will help someone make a decision about purchasing this item. It would be great if the company that makes this started making their item with stronger materials. It is a great idea and concept, but it would be better if it were made stronger.
👤It's not recommended to apply full body weight. How is it that someone can get out of a chair? Too big for a T-cushion chair. Not strong.
👤This was a great idea, but it looks like they didn't finish it. There are holes to adjust it higher and lower, but there is no way to push them through to keep it in place. I checked with the community, thinking they forgot to send me some hardware, but I got nothing. The default position is too low. I was expecting it to be like anEZ up, like my dad's walker, where you click up a notch to hold it in place, and the metal part comes through when you do! I gave it 2 stars because I am mechanically inclined to figure out a way to hold it in place, but these are for the elderly and not everyone has someone to do this for them.
👤It is very easy to assemble. My dad has difficulty standing up from his recliner and I purchased this for him. It works well in the chair, and he stood up without assistance the first few times. He stopped using the handles on the second day because they were too high. I think it will take him a while to get used to it. It is a great product. It would do better on a sofa or chair.
The rail handle system makes getting up from a couch or chair easy. The portable chair assist has padded hand holds to help with rising from different seated positions and even picking up dropped items. All metals construction has a tip-resistant base. The handles are off the floor to help with different grips for different situations. It is possible to move from room to room for help. It works great next to the bed. The chair is on the floor. Every now and then, someone needs a little help to ensure the safety of a loved one. If your loved one has difficulty rising from a seated position or suffers from limited mobility, you should know that they have a chair assist close at hand.
👤This is one of the best elder-care purchases I have ever made. It is a life saver. We help her in and out of bed by using it beside her bed. It is much smaller than the add-on bed rails. It goes beside her chair when she is up for the day. She brags about it to her friends.
👤The nuts don't fit the bolts and that's what made this product horrible to assemble. The enclosed "wrench" did not fir the nuts. It does not function for the purpose I need after hours of putting it together. If I place it in front of me, it will not help me stand from a seated position. It might work if I had two of them on either side of me, but I'm not buying another one since it was so hard to put together. Make sure it serves your purpose before you buy it. Make sure you have the power tools to assemble yourself.
👤Even though the product was assembled in China, I had high hopes for it. I'm not a 'Do it yourselfer', but the parts just didn't work, they didn't tighten the thing. I was forced to buy nuts at the store that would tighten the screws. Be careful, people.
👤I didn't think I'd need to buy an device for people with disabilities. I am so happy I did. I needed something to help me get off the ground in my garden, and this is what I got. I wouldn't change anything about this item.
👤Bolts don't screw on tightly, leaving the device shaky and lose.
👤I broke my ankle and a couple fingers when I fell down the stairs. While preparing for surgery, I searched Amazon for anything that might help. I found it hard to get up unless I had something tall to push me up with. It was important for me to be able to get around my home alone. I can only use one hand and one leg, so it was a challenge. This looked like it could do the job and it has. I'm happy I tried it. I bring it in the bathroom when I shower, and the rest of the time it sits next to my armchair, where I'm spending 99.5% of my life. I would probably buy a few extras, but I can make do with one. It's much easier to get up if you use the arms of the chair. The extra height helps. The picture shows the height of this compared to my arm chair and the kitchen table. It's more for pushing than pulling. It's stable when pushing. I'm not surprised by the sudden movements because I found it can tilt a bit so I tilt it before trying to stand up.
👤I bought this for my mother's leather recliner, which she never reclines. The recliner has a 1.5 inch gap between it and the floor so it's perfect to wedge under it. The snug fit of the recliner makes it sturdy. It may not be sturdy enough if it can't be wedged under the furniture item. It is perfect for us. I have noticed that she is using it more confidently. You will need a phillips screwdriver and a wrench. The stand's wrench was difficult to use. I needed a bigger wrench. It was easy to assemble once I had the correct tools.
Able Life's safety handle provides balance and support when sitting and standing from a recliner, lift chair, or couch, and it supports up to 250 pounds. A built-in cup holder and utensil compartment is included in the Bamboo Tray Table, which is 16 by 18 inches and supports 30 pounds. The sofa desk is easy to install under the feet of most four legged lift chairs or recliners with feet 20 to 36 inches apart; each tray includes all the needed equipment for assembly, no additional tools required. Furniture feet can be placed on either the outside or inside of the pads to protect the floor from damage. The Able Tray can be adjusted to fit your furniture by adjusting the table height from 26 to 32 inches, the support handle height from 34 to 40 inches, and the base length from 20 to 36 inches.
👤I could tell by the photos that I was going to have to make some changes. The tray is too small and doesn't have an edge. My 88 year old dad keeps his pills, mail, and pencils on his tray, and he likes to eat on it. He has been using a flimsy TV tray and having to move it around to get out of his way to use his lift chair, often resulting in spills and knocking things off his table. He needed to be able to pull the table away from his chair. He was spilling and dropping things with his TV tray arrangement. He had a good space to work and eat on. I attached the replacement pan to the top of the table with double stick foam tape and left the cupholder out to make sure it fit. The table was a little shaky since the chair's armrest was getting in the way of the table's extended hand hold, so for the table to work it had to be barely tucked under the chair legs. It was shaky. Unstable. After a week, my husband took his power screwdriver and screwed a couple of concrete anchors in through the metal base through the carpet and into the concrete floor to eliminate the problem. I would make a top that has a lip and modify the table to make it bigger. A person can maneuver the table around large armrests if the base is extended out farther. That would be great if they made those modifications. I know my dad is safe and his life is a little easier.
👤The weld on the bottom foot is broken by the beginning of April, after this was bought at the end of November. You can see that it's useless at this point. The sad part is that the handle part was not used until this week for support after surgery.
👤My mom loves this table. It's very convenient to change degrees. It's perfect next to recliners and it helps her feel secure when getting out of the recliner.
👤I ordered a table with an ergonomics assist. When I was shopping for an electric lift chair on Amazon, I didn't think about the fact that I was moving into a "tiny house" after living in a four bedroom home for 30 years. This little jewel is a marvel for anyone who has difficulty standing up from a recliner or easy chair. It makes the hospital bedside table look sick. This baby would take it, hands down, if there was a furniture Nobel Prize for elderly and/or disabled people like me. My son had the Able Table put together in a matter of minutes and it was also made to work with two easy chairs at the same time.
👤I broke the tray during assembly. It was almost impossible to turn the screw because the paint was in the screw hole. I put so much pressure on the allen wrench that it felt like it was going to break. My arm hit the tray hard. The tray ripped off the screws when it went flying. I tried to fix it, but ended up putting the tray on top of it. I decided to call the support line. They sent me a new tray and hanging brackets in a few days. I was confused when the tray ripped off. I had a hard time deciding if I should return the whole thing or give it another try because I was afraid it was just cheap. It's as well made as any of the others on the market. Most products made for the handicapped population are less than perfect, and this is new to us. We might have just lowered the bar and don't expect too much, because this stuff is often plain crap. I wish I'd ordered the tray with the knob instead of the handle because my husband decided the handle was in the way. That was my fault. The tray swings away when not in use. It fits under the recliner and is sturdy. The tray is small and easy to put more than a plate on. A lot of spills happen because the cup holder is not deep. Customer service is good. Shipping is fast. The product is described. I was not sure if I would give this 3 or 4 stars.
The standard pack is safe and easy to use. No installation, no assembly, no problem. The medical seat lift assist can be attached to recliners for the elderly. The buttons will inflate the cushion as you sit down and stand up. Most chair types. It is possible to fit a non lifting recliner on a standard chair. The universal standup support device for seniors may be able to help you. Not applicable on chairs with wheels or on a rotating office chair. It's handy for the small or tall because it lifts adults up to weight of 120 kilogram (265 lbs.) with its 4 inflating chambers. It is an indispensable help for seniors at home or outdoors. It is essential that you are comfortable for extended sitting periods. They made sure that you felt like you were still sitting on the sofa, even though it was a different design. It is possible to be portable and washable. A carrying bag with a strap, battery and charging point weighs only 4 kilomes. The cushion seat cover is machine washed. Lift yourself today! The seat footprint was deflated, inflated and from the seating to the back. The carrying bag has dimensions of 21” x 5.5”
👤My mom's life was restored by it. It is easy to carry. It is portable and light. She has had many surgeries, including knee and shoulder surgeries. She started getting depressed because of her limited mobility. She can now do the things she loves without fear of falling. It lowers her back down to sit, taking the pressure off of her knees, and keeps her balanced. The battery is easy to charge and the noise is not as loud as I thought it would be. The best product like this that I have found for a reasonable price is the one that has aremovable cover for washing. It gives me back my freedom and also keeps me from hurting myself moving her.
👤My husband had surgery to repair torn tendons in his knee. He was frustrated that he couldn't stand from his recliner. The next year looked bad. After a long year in the house, I am coming out. I was able to help him. He had to wait for hours until I finished my conference calls. I feared I would hurt myself and not be able to help him because of my back disks. I looked at many options. The chair lifter cushions are made of foam. He would be lifted by chairs. The first didn't seem comfortable and the springing action was unsafe since you can't control it. Some lifting chairs were cheaper than others. I was not sure if the chair would be as comfortable as the one we had at home. Most styles wouldn't match our home. A chair is not portable from our primary home to our secondary home. I was hesitant to buy Sitn Stand because I didn't think it would be enough to lift my husband. Any risks are removed by Amazon's easy return policy. I purchased without finding any other viable options. It was delivered yesterday. It far exceeded our expectations, and we only had it for a day. It is very comfortable and easy to use. We are happy. The husband can now leave his chair on his own. His mood is better. Will allow me to work away from home.
👤They say it works. There are a few design flaws for my situation. The cord is too long. My mom had a hard time finding the remote. The battery lasts about a day. To charge it needs to be removed. It should be able to leave it at an outlet. It is not for everyone and could be a great asset to some. I would say it depends on their mental capabilities. It was too expensive for my mom. I returned it.
👤My elderly mother loves her Sitnstand. Every time I speak with her, she raves about it. She uses it to ease herself into it and to make a difference when she stands. She asked me to order a second battery just in case. The extra battery makes mom happy. I received a reply from the Sitn Stand Support Team almost instantly when I asked for it. Great customer service! They have followed me since. This product enhances the quality of my mom's life and I highly recommend it.
Able Life's Handy Handle can be used to help someone stand from a chair, car, bed, or toilet, and supports up to 350 pounds. The mobility aid is lightweight and portable and can be stored in a purse, side table drawer, or car; the rubber handle provides a non-slip grip for added safety. Increased safety. The handle helps users come to a standing position using leverage and eliminates tears on fragile skin, back injuries from lifting, and prevents harmful pulling on shoulders, arms, and wrists. The handle is easy to clean and can be used while keeping a comfortable distance from patients or loved ones. The handle can be used by caretakers, nurses, and therapists to help disabled, handicapped, and senior patients or loved ones.
👤The product is sturdy and can help my husband get up. Can't stop thanking Amazon for bringing this product to them. This item is recommended for caregivers like me. I can not believe how easy it is to get my 195 lbs. The husband is on the sofa. I no longer have back pain.
👤My mother has fallen a few times and it is difficult to get her up by using my hands. I can get her up much easier with this simple device.
👤It's much easier to help a senior out of bed or a chair with this grab bar. It's hard to pull someone by their arm. The grab bar distributes the weight evenly.
👤I got this because I wanted to help my mother get up when she falls. The description makes it sound like it would work, but that wasn't my experience. It seems like it would only work if the person standing up is strong enough to lift an adult and if the person who has fallen is strong enough to stand on his/her own. She is a 160-pound wet noodle when she falls. I missed the return period by 2 days. Oh, well. I think it was worth a try.
👤My disabled husband had to struggle up out of his kitchen chair to get onto his walker. I don't like pulling on his arms because he has shoulder issues. He was up out of his chair in 30 seconds. It was just a pull and hardly any effort on my part. He was up. I wish I'd tried this a long time ago. It's great for anyone caring for a disabled person.
👤I've purchased three of them. There are two for the house and two for the vehicles. I went to my husband's Parkinson's Support Group. Some caretakers wanted to try it on their patient. One of the caretakers stopped by the store that carried the handle the next day to purchase it, but the store was sold out. Someone should order one for her father. She liked it and the nurse who helps with her father did the same. I bought mine because my hands were hurting from pulling my husband up from a chair. My hands are no longer hurting since I use the handle. Fantastic idea.
👤My husband had a knee replacement. I had trouble getting him out of chairs, the bed, and the car. I have a bad back and am trying to help him. It was a huge help when I purchased this. We were very happy to purchase it. An older relative couldn't get up from the couch when she came to visit. I used it after running from my cupboard. Our problem was solved. It is very strong. Would purchase this. Was a life saver for us. I love it!
👤This is amazing. I pull my dad up from a seated position. He has dementia and the pulling seems natural. I use it to get out of the car when he can't do it on his own. I will buy a car, bedroom and medical closet for him. It was a life saver today. I was not strong enough to lift him from the floor after he fell. I was able to slip on a mobility belt with handles, and my mom was able to use this device with me lifting at the waist with the mobility belt, and we got him up! I was so scared that we were able to get him upright with his legs locked. This saved the day.
Their Bath Stool is easy to assemble and has the highest standard in medical shower stool. The height of the shower stool can be adjusted to create a custom experience. The seat can be adjusted to fit for the elderly, seniors, adults, disabled, pregnant women. The lightweight shower stool frame supports up to 300 pounds and is constructed with aluminum. The frame is portable for convenience. The shower chair has legs that are non-slip. Each leg has rubber tips for added safety and security. The shower handle is easy to install or remove from the tub or shower walls, and the strong cup design works on any non-porous, flat surface. It's perfect for the injured elderly and toddlers.
👤I was looking at items on Amazon. I have a small shower and tub. The bench that I found was narrow enough to fit the tub width. The widest point of my tub is at the bottom. The shower bench is from the widest part. To the side of the legs. I can use the bench from the narrowest part, measuring to the out side of the legs. The bench is easy to build. My bath tub is 12 feet in height and it is fully extended up. I have a lot of height. The weight requirement is 300 lbs. I'm not 300 lbs. and I can sit on a bench. I hope this information is useful to other people.
👤It's important to tighten the screws after you assemble the chair because it will need to be checked for stability. I did not have to tighten them again after about 3 or 4 times, however I would suggest that users check the plastic screws that hold the legs to the seat every now and then to make sure they are fully tightened. I would buy more of these because they are excellent and reasonable. I didn't use the grab bar yet because it's clear that it's not a proper safety grab bar, but a bit of stability when you get up. I don't recommend anyone use it for old people or anyone who is looking to apply a lot of weight to hold onto it because they always loosen and fall. The grab bars that screw into the wall are the safest.
👤This product is not safe. I'm an average+ sized man with 195 lbs. While recovering from a broken ankle, I bought this stool to help with showers. The legs on half the stool are starting to move. It's easy to slip off the seat. I have had this stool for a month.
👤I wanted to feel more secure in the shower. The tubs are small because I live in an apartment. I have other shower stools that won't fit because of my knee surgery. I am very happy to see this. I followed all of the rules, but sometimes things should be left alone. I was showering and I was happy. I was half on the floor in the shower trying to figure out how to get up. The selling point of this item is its slim line. When something is heavy and reliant on 4 aluminum legs, the legs tend to fail and in my case I fell. If there are some sort of cross leg supports to keep the legs in place, this could be a wonderful product. Definitely disappointed. I would take this further if I were hurt worse. Thank god I wasn't. I was able to get up.
👤I love this stool. I can't stand for more than 20 seconds. It's the right size to fit in my apartment tub. I bought a stool that wasn't a normal size but it didn't fit well and the legs were bent. No leg issues are caused by this stool. When I lean on the handles, they do bend a little, but it's not a big deal. I recommend that anyone using a shower stool have a textured floor under it. I put a towel under the stool for me. I have extra insurance because I don't want to fall. I know it has rubber feet, but I would rather be safe than sorry. The hand grip that came with it was very helpful and effective. I have 4x4 tiles in my bathroom, but it does land on the grout, but it hasn't been an issue and I'm a large person. It helps me pull myself off the stool and makes me feel more comfortable putting my weight on it. It helps me get in and out of my tub, which is difficult without something to hold on to. I would like to get a second one. I am really happy with this purchase.
It is constructed with high-quality durable plastic that can lift a person up to 400 pounds. The non-slip grip is comfortable and can handle any person's hands in place. Liberty Lift is a lightweight and portable lift that is easy to carry and store in your home. You will be able to use the device in the car or outdoors, even though it has been designed for at- home use. If you need to help someone get out of a car seat or lift them off the ground, it will be handy. It is easy to clean. The device is made of special materials that are safe to wash, so you can safely clean or wipe it with any common household cleaner or industrial cleaning solution.
👤The baby works well. Due to the scientific design it's very powerful. My grandmother was accidentally launched into the next county.
👤This tool is a propaganda tool. The other one said it was medical grade. It was small. It couldn't compensate for the liberty provided by the LIBERTY LIFFT. I'm 60 and have just come back from an illness, but I took care of my mom who is 87. I don't think I'm going to use this tool, but it works very well. I had my hands full and the bar was only for me, so I got my mom out of the car. My computer is stuck on some capital letters.
👤When we saw the ad on TV, I thought it was a stunt. The lift was recommended by a physical therapist. A family member is in a brace for six weeks after breaking their leg. It's difficult to get up in the morning for transfers between couch, chair, etc. Transferring from seat to couch to bed is really difficult. It was very easy. One needs to be careful not to pull the person up too much and then pull them over with too much force. If we needed another one, I would buy it again.
👤Don't expect miracles. There are two things that need to happen in order for it to work. You need to hold onto the person you are trying to lift with a good grip. If you aren't strong enough, he/she has to put a lot of effort into it, as if he is doing it on his own. It won't work on someone who is on the floor.
👤My husband uses it due to strokes and it saves his back.
👤This Liberty Lift gadget was a total waste of money and I was shamed for falling for it. I followed the directions but could not get my husband out of his chair because I weighed more than him. I'm stronger. I was hoping that this was a magic bullet for us after reading the glowing reviews. It's not. It will be going back today for a refund.
👤Liberty Life helped my 92 year old mother with her care. I am able to help my mother stand without putting strain on her. I was able to help her stand by stepping back. The no slip grip handles make it possible for it to be used in the shower as well. I would recommend this product to anyone who is caring for someone who needs help standing.
👤Vous devez tre fort, qui est par terre...
There is bathroom safety. The Vaunn Medical Bathtub Safety Rail is used to help people get in and out of the bathtub. Most falls happen when seniors get in or out of the bathtub. SECURE CONSTRUCTION The rail can be locked on to the side of the tub with a padded rubber clamp. A firm, non-shaky grip is guaranteed by a heavy-duty, one-piece steel frame. The construction supports people up to 300 lbs. Tub rail can fit securely on any tub wall with the Width-Adjustable-Clamp assembly. No tools are required for easy installation. Tub rail won't leave marks or dents on the tub. Not intended for use on fiberglass surfaces. Light weight and portable are less than 6 lbs. It can be moved and installed in another bathroom. Both right and left-handed users will find a pleasing design. A smooth-white frame blends perfectly with any bathroom décor.
👤I have had two knee replacements. I can't bend either knee high enough to get into the bathtub. The garden tub is a little bigger than the regular tub. This fit right. The sides are snug against the tub walls. It is very easy to get in and out of this tub and take a shower or bath. I am not afraid of falling. This product is very good and I would highly recommend it. To install a big knob, you just have to loosen it with your hand and tighten it.
👤I ordered the bathtub handle because it was on Prime and there were many positive reviews. It was in good shape when it arrived. The instructions are worthless, but how hard can it be to attach to the top edge of a bathtub? I turned it around because it didn't fit securely. Didn't fit. Doesn't fit. There is a half inch gap between the inside of the device and the edge of my bathtub when this device is tightened down. My parent's arm shifted suddenly and he almost broke it. Will not purchase anything from Vaunn Medical again.
👤It is difficult to hand on this product when it is wet. My hand slid on the wet surface and I almost fell. There needs to be a grip on this device. The product didn't give me the level of security that I needed to avoid a fall.
👤I had back problems. In my back. A year away from being confined to a wheelchair. There is a My left leg collapsed before the surgery. The safety rail helped me get out of the shower. The safety bar never let me down after surgery.
👤The product fit my bathtub perfectly. It is easy to install. I am very happy with the safety rail.
👤My father has Parkinson's and has a hard time getting in and out of the tub for showering. He now feels confident because the rail is so strong. It was very easy to install. I would highly recommend this product.
👤These are easy to use, and really do the job. I have a 93 year old mom who needs help getting out of the shower. She could hold on with both hands if I installed two of these. It made it easier for her and saved me money.
👤It was easy to install. I bought it to help my mother step in to the shower and it also helps her off the commode. The shower wall has handles on it that fall off.
The handle of the HandyBar is compatible with most vehicles and can be inserted into a U-shaped door to prevent falls. The 1-pound car assist grab bar is lightweight and portable and can be stored in your glove box, door compartment, or purse. Provides independence. It's perfect for the elderly, injured, or anyone needing mobility assistance, and it's non-slip, so you don't have to worry about back pain from lifting and skin tears from pulling. A practical gift idea for loved ones is the 3-in-1 safety tool, which includes a built-in window breaker and seat belt cutter. The car assist bar is the perfect travel accessory because it is safe to support up to 350 pounds.
👤When I shop on Amazon, I look for the cheapest one, no matter what the reviews are about it. I went with the better reviewed higher quality one they sell on Amazon even though it was more expensive, because I wanted my mom to know I cared. My mom is using the HandyBar and it makes her life easier. It's a good thing. Highly recommend this one.
👤I am a large woman. I had a hard time getting into a lot of cars. I hold it and pull myself in, it also helps me get out. I can put it in straight with the car if I want to, but I don't know if all cars are able to. Believe me. If we are riding with someone else, I will take it. Some people commented that some of these grab bars seem flimsy, but this one seems very stable and heavy, and it has to have metal going all the way through the handle. Love it, love it.
👤The seat belt cutter and window breaker are great. Attaching it to my car takes a little effort, but it does fit. It was bought for an elderly family member. It isn't working as it should. The person doesn't find it helpful. I think it was a bust because of that. Why did the person think it was bad? The usefulness of such devices depends on how a person is used to getting into a car and how much help they need. It's not helpful to place a grip at that location for an elderly person. There isn't enough room for the person to get out of the way of the door. It is too far away to be useful if it is placed in the other direction. I hope my explanation made sense.
👤An elderly mother needs to get in and out of a car. It has helped a lot. It gives her leverage to push herself out of the car seat when she is in a wheelchair and it also helps her hold on to the car seat when she is in a wheelchair. It works best for her if the red part of the bar is facing towards the open passenger door and the red part is facing towards the front of the vehicle. The car is a Mercury Gran Marquis.
👤I bought this to keep in the car for an older friend who I take shopping. I hurt my knee and found out what a great item this little thing is. I was tall and needed this for a week or so while my knee healed. I hope I never submerge my car, but like the idea that I can cut my seatbelt if I have to, and break a window to escape.
👤I bought this for my mother to help her get out of her car. My son saw a similar thing but it wasn't very sturdy. The handle is coated with a soft, easy to grip material and feels like it has the steel bar all the way through it. You place the heavy metal on the U shapedloop on your car frame, and if you press down on it you can get out of the car. It can hold up to 350 lbs. This has helped my mom get in and out of the car. If you are in a situation where you need a seatbelt cutter or window breaker, it has them. The weight is less than 1lb.
It's possible to prevent falls. The stand assist is perfect for the elderly, those in rehabilitation, and anyone who needs mobility assistance. If you want to know how to measure your furniture prior to purchase, you can see their video and size image. The handles are padded and adjust 7 to 10 inches above the horizontal frame of the stand assist to provide a comfortable and secure place to grip and support up to 300 pounds. The stand assist frame can be installed around or under the cushion depending on furniture style or size. The low profile design of the Able Life device matches the look and feel of your home and helps to make your existing furniture functionable again, providing an alternative solution to a lift chair.
👤I decided to give it a try for my mom because I came across this while looking at other devices. This works the same as the picture shows. The instructions don't mention the little curvy lock washers. The instructions should tell you that they go on the fat receiving part of the screw. I tried to fit it under the cushions on my mom's couch, but it was too small. You need to adjust for the depth of the couch and the width of the person sitting after you put it together. Don't tighten it until you know the size. The handles have to be close to your body in order to push out the couch. You won't fit between them. Not so far that your arms don't reach them comfortably. If you want to take a nap on the couch, you just slide out the contraption and set it aside. The handles should be higher off the couch cushion than they are. Even though they are touching the couch cushion, they still work for my mom to get out of the couch.
👤The Universal Stand Assist has now been fitted to my recliner rockers and I can't be happier. This is not a lightweight tube device, but a heavy black-finished square steel tubing that is strong. The bolts and nuts that are tightened with an Allen wrench look like they were designed for the parts they lock together. Make sure you don't lose anything. The hardware store is not able to help you. The older boy is smaller than the younger one. I bought one Stand Assist and adjusted it to fit the oldest one, which fit well, before buying a second Stand Assist. There is no need for a cushion that can be removed. The folds around the cushion hold it in place.
👤We bought one to see if it would help our mother get up and down. She was unable to get up because of her back spasms. I was worried she would have to go to a nursing home because I couldn't get her up. We got another assist for her other chair because this one worked so well. We were moving it from chair to chair, but having two of them made it easier. I am so thankful that I found this so we can keep mom with us.
👤There is a metal bar that runs from the right side to the left side behind the coccyx, and I would like to address that concern. The seat-back pillow on the couch is six inches deep and can be removed. The bar slips under the seat-back pillow when placed on the couch. The bar should be as far away from the coccyx as possible, and the seatback pillow should be in front of the bar. Put the seatback pillow in front of the couch if the bar is hitting the back. When my mom drops into the couch, her coccyx only hits the full depth of the pillow. She uses a small pillow in front of the seatback pillow to support her back, so that she is closer to the bar. She's 190 lbs and her coccyx has never hit the bar. The locking adjustment is there. The handles extend beyond the front of the couch cushion when the bar is flush against the back of the couch. The handles are the best position for standing up. You have to slide forward so your shoulders are above the handles, then you have the best leverage for pushing down. The stand works well for her. When she stands up, handles on the right and left. The handles are easier to use than a cane that is too high on one side and a couch arm that isn't intended to help you stand up. The handles on the stand are lower than the couch-arms, which makes them better suited to help while standing up. I'll see if I can add a photo to the review. She has the couch's armrest on one side. She has a tube-shaped pillow that I put over the exposed bar that she can use as an armrest on the other side. After a year, no degradation of The Stand was noticed. I checked the bolts for tightness a few months ago and they were still as tight as when I assembled the stand. I kept the large allen wrench in a drawer. The bolts are easy to manipulate because they accept the allen wrench. You will have the floor filled with large sections of railing before it's all put together. I remember the assembly directions were enough.
