1. AeroPress Coffee Espresso Maker Bitterness

AeroPress Coffee Espresso Maker Bitterness

After using,Detaches for easy cleaning. It takes about one minute to make 1 to 3 cups. The coffee is American style. The rapid process makes delicious coffee without bitterness. Less bitter! The acid level of the brew is lower because of the shorter brew time. The microfilter means that your cup is clean and takes just seconds to clean up. Coffee can be stored for days as a concentrate because it is so pure. The AeroPress includes a press, funnel, scoop, stirrer, 350 microfilters and a filter holder. There are no thalate and no BPA. Not included is a mug. 9 1/2 h X 4 1/2 h w X 4 d is assembled.

Brand: Aeropress

👤Nothing seems to taste as good now as it did before. My wife still uses my good beans and k-cup because she thinks it takes too long to make a cup now. That's fine. I have no patience, and making a french press in the past was a pain because of the time it took to clean it. Cleanup is the simplest thing ever. The instructions are stupid, keep the aeropress inverted while you let the grinds and water sink for a minute. . Press on your cup. If you allow it to stoop, it will leak out through the filter and there isn't much left to press after 60 seconds. I'm a huge fan of Black Rifle Coffee Company (BRCC) and they have a great short video demonstrating the best use of the aeropress. I've found it to make a cup of coffee that's smooth and happy.

👤I switched from Melitta pour over to this method when it first came out, and I still loved it even though the tube failed in the first year. The seal failed after the plastic developed weird alligator skin crackling. A very nice fellow sent me a replacement tube, seal cap, and plunger after I called the company. He told me that it was best to send the whole unit, not just the tube. That shows a company that cares about quality control. I used this replacement for a few years before the seal failed again and I always empty and clean the apparatus after use. When I called customer service, I was told to just buy the rubber seal, even though I told her that the tube might be a problem since the rubber seal still looks perfect. She was eager to end the conversation and wasn't interested in my feedback. If you can make money selling replacement parts, where is the incentive to make a product that will stand the test of time? I don't mean a coffee maker that I can pass on to my children, but something that will last for a long time, I don't know. I feel that there are better ways to make a good cup of coffee and with equipment that doesn't fall apart on a regular basis, if you purchase at this price point. I will not be buying that seal. I will either cold brew or pour overs. AeroPress, goodbye.

👤When my friend suggested the coffee press, I was really interested. I had a few second thoughts after seeing the price. I pushed the button and it was on. I love coffee and can be a sucker for the latest coffee "thingamagiggy" that comes down the pike. P.T Barnum was a genius. The Mad Men is a success because of idiots like me. Anyway, it arrived! I was amazed at all the expensive plastic that went into the coffee press. So many parts too! It has a $38 price tag. I was going to make some coffee after reading the instructions. The H20 was heated and ground by "Larry's Beans". The instructions were incomplete. There are many lines on the push tube. Yeah. Yes. Is it possible to add water for more cup's? That must be it. The instructions didn't explain that very well. My bad. Let's get back to coffee. I pushed the plunger. CoffeeEE! Now the taste! Okay. Huh. I like it. It tastes like my coffee press. Why did I spend $38? It must be for the "cold brew" feature. Fixin to do that in a minute. That would be the only quality that has been redeemed so far. Wait! Ah, but wait! I didn't address the funnel. It took me a while to figure it out. It is not needed. If you use it, you have to remove the tube in order to get a full cup of coffee. Why is it necessary? The small amount of coffee produced is laughable. It's easy to miss judge balance when applying downward pressure. It can get messy. The bloated cost of toxic free plastic is not justified. The "Cold brew" option? I can use my cheap press and get the same results, just by allowing it to sit longer. Here are my thoughts to the creators of this contraption. Why the price? If you have the need for more coffee for the same price, why not include a "twice as large" unit? Most of us would be that way. It is too small to make another cup of tea. I plan to send this press back asap. Critique is cheap and free for manufactures to hone the products they sell and I believe there will be more critique forthcoming from other coffee nerds like me. I can't send it back. What? Amazon has become bad about not letting you know what you can't send back. At least Ebay gives you a heads up. Very disappointed! $38 was spent on an exercise. Great. It's really hard.

2. WACACO Minipresso Accessory Portable Espresso

WACACO Minipresso Accessory Portable Espresso

This newest Moocoo Portable Espresso Maker is the best gift for your family, it's elegant and thoughtful, and will tell them how much they mean to you. Moocoo Portable Espresso Maker is a gift they hope will bring joy and excitement to you. The coffee machine has a maximum water level. The Minipresso Kit is just an accessory. The package doesn't have an espresso machine. The Minipresso Kit has a larger water container and three additional filters. Lungo espresso can be prepared with the Minipresso Kit. The filters can be stored inside the water tank. It's easy to carry all you need to make espresso shots for your friends on a long day hike. If you have a problem with their products, please contact them through Amazon. They will give you a solution in a timely manner. The portable espresso machine is sold separately.

Brand: Wacaco

👤I wish it had been half the price because it would have reflected the actual value. I will be using the larger water chamber but not much else. The small water chamber made it difficult for me to make a double shot, and I rarely used my Minipresso. The only worthwhile thing in this kit is the size of the new water chamber. The original cup was ruined in the garbage disposal, and the new one does not stay attached. The baskets are useless unless you rubberband them to the baskets for travel and have rubberband smell in the water chamber, because the lids to the baskets do not snap on or stay in place. Because they don't stay on, you can't actually pack 3 espresso baskets in the new larger water chamber because you can't get your fingers in without spilling your espresso grounds.

👤I like the larger tank and the extra coffee baskets. They make it easy to carry coffee with me to work. I use the minipresso multiple times a day between home and work and getting the larger shots without refiling the tank makes me more likely to use it more often. The two halves of the large tank came unglued within a month. The outer shell came off without the inner part when I took the tank off. It was a simple matter to fix, but annoying. I haven't had any issues since then and it still travels to and from work with me.

👤The tops of the baskets don't come off when stacked and tightened in the vessel, but they are tight enough that they don't fall off. It's not a problem if you keep them stacked and flip the vessel over. It's nice to have a larger water tank and more baskets so you don't have to clean it out between fills.

👤I love the espresso that I get, but I have to spend so much time preparing for a second shot that it's too much work. I searched for a larger water vessel and found the "Kit" which also included 3 additional baskets for shots. It doesn't tell you that you have more water to make shots, but you have to guess how much water to use for the first shot, stop and add another basket. There are no instructions so I am guessing. The videos don't state that you need to use the first basket and extract, then stop and add a second basket, and extract again. There isn't a way to contact Wacaco for help or instruction, and there isn't an email to allow for overseas communication. They have upgraded to the Nanopresso with more bars, and I would like to trade the Minipresso for the Barista Kit. I hope that anyone will reach out to me to accept the offer, but I guess I will have to wait. I think it is easy to clean, it is great for traveling, and it makes great espresso. It should have better instructions.

3. DeLonghi ECP3120 Espresso Cappuccino Stainless

DeLonghi ECP3120 Espresso Cappuccino Stainless

Quality results are assured every time, and you can make changes to your taste. The machine makes authentic barista-quality beverages just like you would at a coffeehouse. If you prefer a larger beverage, you can use taller cups. The unit's bottom tray is easy to fit taller cups in. Each model fits beautifully on a kitchen countertop without taking up too much space.

Brand: De'longhi

👤I'm a professional barista and have been looking for a home machine to help me through the day. After looking through a lot of different models, I settled on the DeLonghi model. It is easy to unbox and set up. It's basically a plug in and you pull your shots deal. If you don't have any experience with pulling shots then this learning curve may be a little daunting because this little machine does exactly what the larger machines I've worked with do: pull manual shots. The taste of the heart, body and crema is absolutely perfect. You will have to learn how to time your shots as it does not shut off automatically and in the video, you can see that I pulled long but the shot still tasted great. Quite impressive. The machine only has one accessory, the scoop/tamper in 1 tool, so you'll have to find your own pitcher and demitasse. It's a snap to clean up. You can knock the puck into the garbage or box without having to dig the grounds out of the portafilter. The steaming want is easy to disassemble, just slip off the cover and wipe with a wet paper towel. Everyone would be recommended. If you're new to espresso machines, be careful and do your homework first because this might not be as easy as you might think without practice.

👤After 4 years of use, there is an update. I bought this machine in 2016 and it's May 2020. It has been through 2 apartment moves, and still works like a dream, but recently it developed an inconsistent leak. I woke up twice to find it leaking on the countertop. It hasn't done it every night. I'll have to replace it someday. This machine has been one of the best and most reliable things I have ever purchased for $100 or so, and it has been used almost every single day for the last 4 years. I still have to get my coffee beans ground at 1 notch more corse than espresso, but I have a cheap and old coffee/spice grinder that gets a perfect grind every time. I'm pretty sure my last move across 3 states was the reason it has now started to leak, and I'm sad that I will have to part with it one day. I just can't recommend this product enough so I'm writing this review. I don't want the world to know that it's a great machine for the price, I have not been paid or given anything to write about it. Happy coffee making, espresso drinkers! There is a person who says that I never write reviews for anything I buy on Amazon, but I am so glad I chose this machine when I was looking for a new espresso maker. I am very hands on with my coffee. If you are looking for that, I don't think you should look elsewhere. At times, this machine can be difficult to use. It's very easy to use. It's a bit loud, but that doesn't bother me. It works like a breeze and produces great pours. I only use almond or coconut milk with the milk frother. This machine can make a nice foam with almond milk, because it's hard to get a nice foam with some milks. It's not latte art quality, but close enough that it could be. After owning this machine for a few months, here's my advice. If you want to have good tasting espresso while you get used to how your machine works, start with some Illy ground espresso in the can. Tamp your espresso lightly. It will ruin the flow if you cram it in. 2. Once you get used to how Illy grounds work with your machine, you can move on to local coffee shop beans. Coffee grounds have more oils in them and are ground a bit more fine so it doesn't come out in a flow, but more of a drip. I usually put my cup in the right place, so that it flows evenly for a perfect crema. When you go to your barista, ask for their preferred espresso beans. If you want to make it easier on yourself, you should ask the coffee shop to grind 1 step more coarse than the typical espresso grind. After use, wipe your machine down. I know I can be busy at times and forget to empty the used espresso out, but try to always wipe the milk frother after use, and wipe down your machine. You can get in there if it comes apart easily. I do a full rinse of the machine at least 3 days. I know I should do it after every use, but I have not had any problems thus far. 4. I bought my small milk pitcher from New Star Foodservice since it was priced right and well made. I know you get a 2 in 1 scoop, but you should look for something that is slightly heavy.

4. NEO Flair Espresso Manual Espresso

Brand: Flair

👤I was so excited to try out the manual espresso line from Flair. If you're a beginner coffee maker that is starting to get bored of your french presses, Chemex, Aeropress, Mokapot, etc., this is your entry into espresso at home. This is my current coffee setup, it has 16g coffee with a 1:2 ratio and 32g of espresso out. * Timemore Slim Coffee grinder was dialed in at 11 clicks. The Hamilton Beach Kettle is at a temperature of 212F. This machine is cheap and can only do 1g. 120 is a cheap entry into the world of espresso. The other cheaper options don't generate a good shot. You pay for what you get. You're willing to keep testing, and the Flair Neo has the potential to make a great shot. The Neo comes with a portafilter that is pressurized, unlike a bottomless one you'd find on expensive espresso machines. The portafilter is very easy to use. A good bur grinder is required to have good espresso. I don't have that. I can grind espresso but I can't dial in. Even though the grind isn't good, this portafilter still tastes good. It would be bad to go directly into a Classic or a Signature with my current set up. The Neo is upgrade-able, so this is a great stepping stone. For 24 more buckaroos, you can upgrade the pressurized to a bottomless portafilter and have a setup like the Flair classic. Do you like burning more money? You can really dial in your shots with 56 more buckaroos. Having options like this makes it easier for a beginner to get into the hobby. If you're planning to get into the hobby, there's not many cons to consider, but for the price you're getting this, there's definitely a downside. The device is not top of the line. It's an entry level machine that can be improved with a few extra parts. If you want something great from the beginning, Flair has the Pro2 line. If you put in the effort, a pressurized portafilter can get you a coffee shop shot. The thermal management of the press is difficult to deal with. You will need to preheat the portafilter, chamber, and piston. This is annoying but that's the trade-off with manual presses and I think it's a worthy trade-off compared to spending x3-x6 as much for an electric/automated machine. The shot size is disappointing. It will take a while to make multiple shots. This device doesn't steam milk like a double boiling espresso machine would. The lack of a carrying case is sad but I don't find myself using it often so that depends on what you plan on using this for. The Flair Neo is a great entry into espresso. It's not the best manual press, but it's the best cheap one. If you're interested in making espresso, you should try the Neo. You should upgrade it if you like it. Not much of a loss if you don't. Maybe I need a second Neo.

Brand: Staresso

👤I've owned a few espresso machines in the $150 range, and they make terrible espresso. I came here recently and thought I might get a nice one. I was interested in this. I had to try it after reading the reviews. It arrived the next day. I tried it immediately. I packed my beans tightly. The water was boiling hot and I filled it. I assumed I would give it a try, even though I never looked at the directions. The pumping was easy. I made two drinks to test the espresso and it was hot and cold. The shot tasted like it came from a legit cafe. I poured some foamed milk when it was hot. I read that it is hard to clean. I believe everyone has a sink, and it's as easy to start over as rinsing the filter cup. The thing is a game-changing change.

👤This product was received today. I have a lot of different medians for making coffee and espresso. This is the easiest to use and setup. It makes a good cup. In my opinion, this is amazing. The device has instructions on how to froth milk. It's great for traveling, camping, or just around the house. If the unit is accidentally knocked over, boiling water could leak out, and there is no seal between the hot water containment reservoir and lid. If you are not waving the unit around with boiling water, then you are free to. This shouldn't be a problem. This is an amazing product. The supplier reached out via email, they addressed my concern and said they had relayed my suggestions to the product development team. This may not mean a lot, but to me it underscored their commitment to a quality of both product and consumer relationship.

👤I like the simplicity of this little espresso maker. I have it for only a few days and I can't comment on its longevity. It made good espresso in a short time and the cleaning was easy. It took some effort to pump but only a few pumps were required. The pump can be used as a milk frother, but not as well as my Aero latte. This milk frother is around for a long time. I made a latte at home in less than 5 minutes, which was less than the time it took to drive to Starbucks.

👤I would recommend the STARESSO to you if you have at least two espresso drinks per day and you use nespresso capsule. It makes a very good espresso. The pros are 1. The build quality looks good, but it is mostly made of plastic. 2. Highly portable. It is very easy to disassemble and clean. I can make espresso with my favorite mug by holding the top part and pushing the valve. I think a modular design makes it easy to repair. One can change a broken piece with a new one without throwing away the whole espresso maker. 3. It's compatible with nespresso. I didn't know about this feature until I saw the instruction. I have a set of foam maker and nespresso machines that are useful for me. I used to take my nespresso with me if I was going for more than a couple of weeks. I'm happy to leave my house and put my backpack with me. I can use regular coffee powder when I travel, so I don't need to worry about getting enough. It does surprise me that it is compatible with nespresso, because it meets all my requirements. The cleaning process takes a bit longer than my nespresso. Every non-capsule espresso machine has a similar problem.

6. DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Cappuccino Maker

DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Cappuccino Maker

One shot or two. The unit has a three-in-one filter holder that can hold two espresso shots and an espresso Pod. You can brew cup after cup instantly with the Advanced Cappuccino System. The sleek space-saving design of the EC155 fits perfectly on a kitchen countertop without taking up too much space. The water tank has a conveyor belt. The water tank is easy to remove, refill and reattach, and the water level is visible to eliminate guesswork. The parts are dishwasher safe and easy to clean because of the water tank and tray.

Brand: De'longhi

👤I don't even look at one sentence reviews. If I want to get anyone's attention, I better put some paragraphs together. In July of 2016 I bought this machine. I have never had a cup of espresso or a cappuccino in my life. I researched for a long time before buying this machine. There are reasons to follow. Lower my expectations was the key approach. A middle range consumer machine like a BrevilleXL 870 costs between $400 and $600. I had to lower my expectations because of that. I scored 5 out of 10 points on the first two tries. I started to study. How do you make it work? This is what I have learned. Take what you want and discard the rest. There are beans for a drink. LaVAZZA is a high quality 10 ounce metal frisbee. The burr grinder is made by BoDEM. I use a small temperature tester when I'm frothing. Any decent hand. Don't use the attached cup. You don't need the metal tray if it's easy to fit. The tray is lifted out. A sponge. It's all over. I'm ready to practice. There is a It takes practice. Follow the directions and timing to clean the machine. After buying all the accessories. There is a Every single cup for the past 2 and 1/2 years scores between an 8 and 10 on anyone's scale and I demonstrate it for friends. It is an art. The frothing part is important. The art of theccino. If you practice. The machine will give you a good cup of coffee, just like the more expensive machines. There is a On a personal note. I don't have enough room for either of them. I have to get this machine out of the kitchen. The machine is 6 lbs. I carry it with my fingers. The machines weigh 20 and 23 lbs. I say "take what you want and discard the rest"

👤I used a De' Longhi coffee pot for 6 years. I had no issues with it. There were no leaks. There were no breakdowns. I made a pot of coffee and espresso shots. Always worked well. Would recommend that model again. I got rid of it because I was moving. I decided to get another machine. I decided to go with this model because it had good reviews and I used the espresso side of my previous machine. These are my initial reactions after not having this maker for a month. I have to be realistic with myself that it will take some adjustment to go from a higher-end model to a low-end average setup. The espresso shot is a great tasting drink. The new machine showed me how dirty my old one was. The coffee in this is so smooth and clean that I never thought to run a cleaner through the previous maker. There are two portafilter basket sizes, a shallow and deeper one, and a cup holder under the lid for the one not in use. The portafilter has a built in basket holder that you can use to hold it upside down. There is a cup warmer built into the maker, but it is not a selling point for me. It is there for people who think that is cool. It does a decent job. If you don't have one, it's built in. The short space to put a coffee cup is my biggest complaint with this espresso maker. The portafilter's spout is only 2.5 inches from the top of the pan to the bottom. I know it is an espresso machine, however, it seems that some extra plastic could have been molded into the length of the unit for added maneuverability. I had to find an extra short coffee cup at a thrift store because of the clearance. If you remove the top from the pan, you don't gain much space, but it's still easy to spill when trying to remove the cup of coffee. It is not a big deal that it has a bit of a vibration. The little structure is pushing something through a metal screen. The built in tamper is not very good. If you had nothing else, it is a nice last resort. The water is small and needs to be refilled often, which is not really a con, but just giving a heads up. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a manual machine, which was a selling point for me as I don't always like bells and whistles. You have to do everything yourself, but you have to push the espresso through the filter. There's nothing auto about this and the price reflects that so if you're looking for something, don't get your hopes up. If you are looking for a machine that will make you a decent espresso shot, don't have a lot of counter space, have some short coffee cups, and realistic expectations, then this espresso maker is a good fit for you. I give it 3.5 to 4 stars.

Simply press the switch button for 5s to run the machine without the capsule, it will auto wash, more convenient. It is not compatible with Nespresso compatible capsule.

Brand: Conqueco

👤I knew I was taking a risk when I bought this product, but I took a chance. It didn't work out. The manufacturer has some work to do to get it to work, but it is a great idea. I need coffee in the morning when I travel for work. This was the best choice for me to take because I use Nespresso at home. I went to Vegas for a conference and the hotels don't have coffee in the room so that they can force you to pay for that inside of their casino, which is why I purchased this. I put this in my bag in case I got asked or stopped because of the weight and battery, and was ready to go when I got there. The coffee maker wouldn't turn on when I took the plug out, even though I had charged it up in advance. You need the battery to work because the machine won't work when plugged in. I read reviews and instructions again and tried the whole thing twice, but couldn't get it to work. It's a shame that I had to return it, as I would still use it if it worked. Someone needs to come up with a better version of this.

👤The device puts out good-tasting espresso. I enjoy this a lot because I only drink espresso. It's useful when traveling without hotel coffee. I have enjoyed making espresso in the comfort of my car, getting a kick out of this puppy making me a shot while sitting in the cup holder, and I have also enjoyed sitting in the cup holder. It only makes espresso three times on the battery. The heating element uses a lot of power if you just make espresso with hot water. It has AC power cords that have car input. It doesn't seem to make espresso if it is plugged in.

👤Works as intended. It takes around 7 minutes to make coffee. If you must have and espresso while camping or long trips, this is the product to have. The closing lid gets very hard once you insert Pod. We are aware that you will need to use lots of force to make sure the coffee is good.

👤It was very portable and I loved it. The idea was great. The battery wouldn't charge after 24 hours. Never got past 50%. We used it once and it wouldn't work again. Very disappointed. The seller has been very eager to make this a better experience for me, and I am editing my review to say that. I would give the seller a 10 star rating because it shows that customer service is important to them.

👤This product took up too much time as a coffee drinker. I used the suggested tabs for this machine. The volume of the brew was less than what was expected of a shot of espresso. It took a considerable amount of time for the water to heat up at room temperature, not cold, despite the advertised time of 5 minutes. I asked myself if it was worth taking this device around to end it. I have never seen a promising product come close to the electrical one I'm mentioning today. It comes with a lot of risk, such as damage due to water immersion, and the possibility of electrical shock. Maybe one day, it will be better. I will stick to the method for now.

Brand: Wacaco

👤I like the idea of using the Nanopresso in situations where you can't get decent coffee otherwise. Getting the barista kit is the next step for convenience, as the Nano's own water tank only holds enough to make 1 shot and a half, which is never enough for me. The second time I used the barista kit, I had a bad accident after I had filled the large water tank, because the water wasn't up to the max fill line. I was next to the sink, and was able to run cold water on my burnt hand to alleviate some of the damage. It could have been a lot worse if it was at a camp site with easy access to burn treatment. I'm typing with only my other hand because my hand is still burning and stinging. The original water tank can't be pulled off the main body without twisting it back off, even if I twist it. If you still decide to try it, I would suggest that you test out the seal before adding hot water, and be very careful when you do add hot water, because you don't want to burn yourself.

👤The coffee it makes is good, so why a 1 star review? I was excited about the product, read reviews, and even the manual, but it is dangerous to use. I loved how portable it was when it arrived. I used it for 9 days. The water tank from the barista set popped off twice. It was the first time it happened at a party. I didn't get hurt, but nobody else did. I blamed the incident on my lack of attention and have been more careful since. The tank popped off again. This time boiling hot water poured all over my fingers, causing a lot of pain and blisters. The people around me only got splashed with warm water. I still felt guilty. I assumed that the design was safe when I noticed that there was no locking mechanism to keep the tank in place. They wouldn't sell it if they didn't. Yes... Apparently not much. The coffee this little machine makes is better than most other coffee shops I have been to. I am not a big fan of coffee. It is strong and rich. I was looking forward to experimenting with different parameters and pulling the perfect espresso shot, I really enjoyed it every single time. The water tank design flaw does not mean anything. I don't want to try it again, and I don't recommend the product. I will not try this again after my hand was seriously burned. I will be returning mine asap and I will be more skeptical when considering alternatives.

👤The kit is great. I use it every day. It is easy to use, clean, and make excellent espresso. I use a $200 machine at home. The only complaint I have is that the whole set up came with a bag and a cloth to wipe the parts dry, but I wish it came with the Nanopresso. I bought a $5 lunch bag from Target.

Brand: Bella

👤The espresso maker is great for the price. I purchased the device for a low price. People paid $75 for it the next day. I have been using this for a long time. I love you! Fresh ground beans make a perfect espresso and the steamer arm allows for great cappuccinos and lattes. Yes, you get some grounds in the espresso, but that is not a big deal. I learned a tough lesson when I accidentally touched the bare metal steamer arm. It's not safe to operate within reach of children. There is a I made close to 100 brews with this machine and have no complaints. If I were to pay $200 for a fancy espresso bar, I would expect more, but I love this device for the price.

👤This is my 4th cheap steam espresso maker. The current reviews of the new Mr Coffee models are pretty bad, as they no longer make the model that lasted the longest (7 years), but the other models have varying degrees of success. I thought I'd try a Bella this time. It's a mixed bag so far. The manual says to run plain water through it 2 times before brew, and I did not notice any plastic or metallic smells when I ran through it 5 times. The Mr Coffee makers that I've used have two big improvements over the carafe: the top snaps on and the coffee doesn't leak. It's not deep enough to reach a single serving of coffee because the width of the included tamper fits the coffee basket perfectly. I never use less than a full basket of coffee and it's not a problem for me. The spoon is at the other end of the tamper. It's time to brew... The espresso had a nice oily appearance with a tan colored foam at the top and I was pleasantly surprised. What do you expect from the price? I was surprised at the flavor of Starbucks French Roast coffee, which I had never tasted before, and also that it was ground Starbucks coffee, the kind you find in the bag at the supermarket. A good cup of coffee. The plastic frother worked well, giving a good foamy head to the milk, and the steam wand heated the milk faster than the old Mr Coffee machines. If you use a smaller pitcher and hold it at an angle, the steam wand will work, just like on all the Mr Coffee machines. There is a plastic pressure button on the top of the maker. I thought it was a stunt, but I realized that if you try to steam the milk before the button is fully extended, you'll get hot water in your milk, which is useful. The manual doesn't mention that. For the bad side. The plasticizer warning is included in the manual and should be avoided if you want to prevent plasticizers from moving to the finish of the counter top. Failure to do so may cause the finish to be discolored. There may be permanent blemishes or stains. I wonder if those same plasticizers can migrate into my coffee or milk, which doesn't sound like it would be very good for your health. The cheap switch is the second problem. I think this switch will be the point of failure because it is poorly made. The machine doesn't turn on when I turn mine until it clicks in the On position, even though the manual says you need to turn it very gently. I have to turn it a little further to make it work. Not good. It was very difficult to remove the frother from the steam wand because you have to pull straight down with brute force. I prefer a latte to a cappuccino, and all the cheap steam espresso makers say to take the frother off for just steam. The manual doesn't mention it, but it must come off for cleaning, otherwise it will quickly fill with dried milk. The overall sloppy quality is demonstrated by a comment left in the manual by a proofreader. I don't think anyone would expect Starbucks quality espresso from a machine as cheap as this. A good espresso maker that uses real pressure will cost hundreds of dollars. For the price, this makes a nice cup of espresso and will adequately prepare the milk for a latte or cappuccino. I am concerned about the lack of quality for the switch. A review stated that after a short amount of use, smoke started pouring out of the switch and the machine died. I don't understand why a company won't spend more money for a decent switch, and I expect this one to be gone soon. The warranty on workmanship and defects lasts a full year. I hope I don't have to use it. Will update this review to let you know how it goes over time... There are two things that have changed after a month. The switch is no longer working and it is much easier to turn it on. It moves into the On position without the extra effort. The ridge which held the lid on while pouring has worn off and the lid is no longer on, meaning I'm back to burning my thumb to hold it on, just like with the Mr. Coffee machines.

👤Make a note of the date and time when you stop. Then buy this. Your life will never be the same. I can't think of anything else to say that hasn't been said before, but this is basically the iPhone of the coffee world. It changes the game by being easy to use, easy to clean, and can be adjusted to your taste. It's cheaper than owning a whole counter full of coffee appliances. It's portable. You can use it in hotels. You can take it outdoors. You can bring it to the office. I bought a second one for my office. This thing can make the best coffee in the world. I'm going to keep this brief. Really. Just buy it now. The longer you read this, the more Aeropress will change your life. It has been at least 4 months since I bought my first Aeropress. I got another one for my office because I liked it so much. The first Aeropress had 500 cups and the second 100. The first unit's seal is completely shot. You can't push down on it or burp it. Sometimes hot coffee makes it past and spurts out the top all over your hand. This started a few weeks ago and has gotten worse. It looks like this happens to people from time to time, and Aerobie makes a replacement part, but it's not available on Amazon or Aerobee's website. This thing is 4 months old and I don't mind replacing it. Two people drink coffee in my house. We both drink a lot of coffee, but there are two of us. It's kind of ridiculous that two people have a coffee appliance for 3 or 4 months. I don't know how much the seals cost, but I will probably ask for several. I still believe that this is the best way to make coffee, but I am pretty disappointed. This is an isolated incident. I will report back in a few months when the second unit has the same volume, or when the first unit hits the next 500 cups. I'm taking a star from my rating. 6 months later, there is an updated again. The high-use unit at home is starting to wear out again. It's still starting to wear, but it's been a little more robust this time. The lower-use unit at my office is still working. The rubber part has a useful life of up to 1,000 cups of coffee. Maybe for some people that will be years. It's not very long for us. I still love this thing, but I'm a little disappointed. The rubber part should be bundled with the filters. It's a little inconvenient to order, there is one online source in Canada, or you can call and speak to a person. The company that makes it. I want to give a tip. If you soak the rubber seal in hot water for a minute before use, it will rejuvenation it and allow it to seal. Even though it's worn, you can still use it with an extra step.

Brand: Wacaco

👤Be careful. This item is only used occasionally. If used daily, it won't last long. I can only imagine how disgusting that stagnant water must be, because mine no longer pushes water through properly and pressure just builds inside the canister. I have cleaned the unit thoroughly. The issue isn't just a matter of needing to be cleaned. A thorough cleaning of the unit is not good. The top of the coffee is difficult to take apart and put back together, so you'll never be able to clean it thoroughly. Coffee can build up inside and can mold, so that would be a mistake. I loved the idea of this device and it worked. They need to rethink the design and make it more user-friendly. If you like to make espresso shots frequently, I can't recommend this. If you spend $50 on this machine, you are probably better off buying a small machine.

👤The espresso that comes out of it is nice, but there is a defect that will make me stop using it. Check it out.

👤There are zero stars. Doesn't work. I tried espresso grind and a more coarsesly ground coffee twice. Nothing happens at the end. The water seal end is just a hair different. I tried it on many times and it is not good. The item cannot be returned on the Wacaco website.

👤It works well for camping for a coffee craving. This camping was used a few times at the office. If you reuse the same grinds and purge three capfuls of water through the filter, you will get a full cup of coffee. It works great without a glass press. convenience in form factor and size are the strongest attributes this unit has to offer, but some people probably won't like having to pump and work this much for coffee. The retractable handle makes it easy to clean and store away. The water reserve cup is nicely twisted on with locking detents, but I don't like the fact that the drink cup is pressed in and can be knocked off easily.

👤My review reflects my ability to pull long espresso shots, so I purchased the 100ml larger tank separately. I was looking for a space-saving espresso machine for my tiny living situation and stumbled upon this one. I developed a good rhythm for making delicious longshots after I learned not to overfill the water/ coffee and not to ruin the grounds. I drink from 3 to 6 a day. I grind my coffee from the can, which I don't buy particularly nice coffee from. It's easy to clean up, and there's a small footprint on my counter. I have made at least 50 to 60 shots in the last few weeks, and it seems to be holding up well. It dribbles a little water here and there, but I'm probably going a little faster than I should. Some may not like that it doesn't appear to be free of the harmful substance, but with coffee I can't complain! If that is important to you, the odds are close to 1/3. It is to me! If you go to their website and pick up the larger 100ml tank, it's about 25 dollars, but I can't recommend this highly enough.
